The Carrigaholt Development Association was started in 1994. Our members are people of the Carrigaholt area who take an interest in, and have pride in, their community.
Our Tidy Towns Committee work hard to keep our lovely village attractive and pleasing. Flower baskets, neatly trimmed grassy picnic areas, a well-kept beach and freshly painted cottages all contribute to the charming aspect of the village.
Visitors this summer would have noticed the beautiful hanging baskets on the bridge that brings you over the Moyarta River into the village, as well as overflowing flower tubs in the Village Square.
The village benifits from tourism mainly by Limerick residents some 110km to the east. The village offers Four public houses, Morrisseys, Keanes, Carmodys and The Long Dock (or 'The Dock' as it is fondly refered to by the locals) which also offers you a full range of food and drink while you visit our village. There is also a fast food take away and all the public houses offer you live music particularly during the summer high season.
