Tidy Town Village Spring Clean-up
On Friday afternoon (15-4-05) a group of children who attend Carrigaholt National School, their teacher Mary Keane, parents Mary McMahon Lynch, Mary O'Brien Aston and Sue Magee of Tidy Towns participated in a village spring clean-up and did a fantastic job of cleaning up the beach. The weather was perfect and the sunshine added to the children's great enthusiasm. Everyone was very proud of their beautiful beach after the work was done.
The following day, a few more Tidy Town volunteers made an effort to clean up the Square and Slip-way area. Fintan and Bríd Ryan painted our lampposts with help from Tom and Muirin Ryan... and plans began to take shape for a new-look for the slip-way picnic and play area. Other children from the village helped too included Louise, Rebecca and Lauren Meyers and Ellie Gallagher. Well done everyone!!
