Hi there. I haven't been to Carrigaholt in years. I had a pal named Aidan Casey who owned a place called "busy bricks" I think and I was wondering if he moved from Dublin to Carrigaholt permanently.

What a beautiful feast day today, the feast of the Blessed Trinity. Wonderful homily in church and great explanation of the Trinity. May God bless you all and all us immigrants! Keep the faith!

In reply to Jim Cauley in Rochester:
I have found a MARTIN KANE baptised as a Catholic at St Mary's, Carrigaholt on January 5th 1854.
Parents: Michael Kane & Sarah McCarthy from Kiltrellig.
Sponsors: Tom & Bridget Kane.
Priest: Fr Michael Kenny.
------------
Another Martin Kane was also baptised there on November 8th 1858 by Rev Laurence Hannon.
Parents: John Kane & Mary Scanlan / Scanlon.
Sponsors: Thomas & Margaret KANE.
---------------------
The Brews were not all Catholics, in which case I won't find their baptisms.
Some lived at or near the www.LoopHeadClare.com lighthouse -- please also refer to that guestbook.

Although on February 27th 1854 at St Mary's, Michael Brew married Mary Gleeson (both from Kilballyowen, which is next to that lighthouse). They would be most likely to name their 1st daughter Mary Brew.

Please, everyone, leave your emails, and I'll send you all other relevant entries. MMG

A note for Thomas Ginnane in Queens, NY : could you contact me by email, please? MURRAY@GINNANE.CO.NZ

The brother of your sportsman friend ( Jimmy Keane), is Fr Pat G. Keane from Doonaha. He is the Parish Priest nearby to me, here in Hamilton, N.Z.
I showed him the great photo of you, which your sister Theresa posted to me.
I'm trying to collect a lot of Rahona East area & family history.
Great to see everyone introducing themselves!
Slainte, MMG.

Thanks to the people who made this wonderful site possible. Theresa, I do remember you and you also Susanne. I have been in contact with Ita and Mary (Mcmahon) Murtagh from Carrigaholt. A few us here in Chicago are thinking of getting a Carrigaholt National School re-union to-gether. We did have a wonderful teacher in Mr. Flynn. If anyone would like to contact me, my e-mail address is slaz49@aol.com
