I am a McMahon and I am mesmerized by the castle - I wish there were more photos and history on it. My great grandfather immigrated to Texas from Ireland.

I spent a vacation at Carrigaholt about 7 yrs ago. It was the most wonderful time of my life. The town, the people, the beauty of this town are something to be cherised in my mind forever. I would love to come again. We stayed at a cottage owned by a family named CURTAIN. Do you know if they still rent to visitors? This trip was planned for a group of about 25 of us and the planner was Larry Ryan from Long Island. Unfortunately Larry passed away, but I believe his wife Pat is still a big part of Carrigaholt.

Looking at your site. I am tracing my family history. My grandfather was Simon Carey, he was married to a McMahon. They came to Chicago on the Arcadia prior to WWI. How about more photos or a web cam to see the village.

Brilliant site. I agree with Naoise there should be more pictures. Greetings to Morriseys and the O'Gormans of the elegant Hilltop B&B. Oh how I wish I could have stayed for good on my last visit. Look after my cousin Johnny until I get back. Cant wait for that pint at Morriseys. Although it wont be the same without my dad along.
