I was born & raised in Rahona East. Went to school in Carrigaholt. Mrs. Hedderman (her husband Josie and my grandfather John Hedderman were brothers. Mrs. Keane and Vincent Flynn were also my teachers. Great teachers. Never thought I would see Carrigaholt on the net! Love all the pictures on the net. Happy, happy New Year. The years go by so fast. I guess life is like a roll of toilet paper - the closer to the end, the faster the time goes by!! | |

Congratulations on a great website. It is a credit to all concerned. To people out there trying to trace ancestors I would recommend Clare Heritage Centre who were most helpful when I was tracing my own ancestors to share with relatives overseas. Equally you might access the the 1911 census if you google census online. Hello and thank you for a lovely website. I'm researching my family tree and I'm looking for information on either a Bridget or Margaret Troy born around 1855 that married a James Pender from Moanmore, Moyasta around 1879 in Doonaha? They went on to have 4 children. John, Mary, Patrick & James (my grandfather born 1896) Any information on the Troys woulld be greatly appreciated. Thank you |
